Happy Birthday Joe!

We celebrated Joe's birthday last week! The celebration began as we sang happy birthday to both Joe and Chris over the weekend! Lots of family fun was had by all. Bonnie made some delicious homemade cupcakes, which we all enjoyed!

On his actual birthday, Joe had lots of fun as well! He was determined to use as many free coupons that he received for his birthday as possible. We stopped at Caribou on the way to work and he got a free latte (which he graciously gave to me!) After bringing me to work, Joe and Alex went to Denny's for a free Grand Slam. For birthday dinner I took Joe to a restaurant called The Blue Door Pub in St. Paul. They have their own kind of Juicy Lucy called the Juicy Blucy. I had the original Juicy Blucy which was stuffed with blue cheese. Oh, was it good. We also ordered tots, which were so yummy. The place is tiny, but we would highly recommend checking it out! And, continuing with getting stuff free, because it was his birthday, Joe got his drink and a dessert for free!

When we got home from dinner, we found a little dog wandering down our alley. Joe went and checked for a collar and found a phone number. Unable to reach the cute doggie's owner, we decided to drive him to the address on his collar. The dog's name was Bentley and he was a small terrier poodle mix of some sort. Alex loved him. We drove him home 25 blocks from our house. His owner was SO happy that we'd found him and we were glad to help a lost doggie out. A nice way to end a good day celebrating a great guy!
