First day, again.

The first day jitters were less this year.
He still got a new backpack.
He still was excited.
But, we knew what to expect.
He already knew where his classroom was.
He already knew his teachers.
He was a pro.
Instead of knowing no parents, we knew many parents.
Instead of feeling a little awkward, I felt confident.



We walked by the three year old class.
He called to his old teacher, she smiled and called him by name.
The three year olds looked so little, and their parents a little nervous.
Oh, how I remember that feeling.
But, not now.
We know what to do.
I should revel in my confidence now... next year, a new school,
new parents, new teachers, new students....
well, for now, it is now and
It's going to be another great year.
