It's been fun hanging out with our friends this summer! Alex has gotten quality bonding time with his cousins (and friends?) and they've had a blast playing school (Alex is the teacher) inside and lots of games outside. Joe even was brave and took all three kids to the park. When I asked Alex what his favorite part of going to the park, he responded, "playing with Tad!" I love it!
Alex also finished up a great season of soccer with some of his old friends from last season, and a few new friends too! Alex scored two goals this year and tried his best to be a good teammate!
More good quality time was had when our friends, the Edwards, invited us along with their family as they went camping at William O'Brien State Park! We had a ton of fun hanging out with them, enjoying the beautiful (but slightly buggy) weather! Alex even got to spend the night with them at the campground in their tent! Our friends are awesome and knew that tent camping would be nearly impossible for me, but they knew that Alex really wanted to try it, so they invited him along. He absolutely loved it!!
We also joined the Schintz family at their 4th of July shindig! We had fun hanging out enjoying the good food and company, and Alex loved playing with all of the older kids, the dogs, and sparklers! We all enjoyed the fireworks and had such a nice evening!
We're having a great summer!!
