The Next Newbery Award Winner??

Everyday after school, I give Alex a call from work to see how his day went.  Today we chatted a little about school and then Alex informed me that he was writing and illustrating a book and he had to go.  I figured he would quickly lose interest and that I might find a page or two finished when I got home.  Instead I found a 10 page book that Alex wrote and illustrated... and is was written in Spanish!  I was amazed!!  Joe told me that he worked all afternoon on it!  My heart is overflowing with pride for my boy, who decided he wanted to do something and then completed it!  His book is about the Angry Birds and he's going to take it to school tomorrow to share with his class during Morning Meeting!!  I love this kid!!
