Today was Alex's first day of Kindergarten!! What a big boy! Alex has been looking forward to this day for weeks and as we were driving to school this morning Joe asked him how he was doing, and he said he was a little nervous. Once we got to his classroom, though, my confident boy hung his mochila in his locker, said hola to his teacher, gave Joe and I a beso, and walked into his room. Even though it was hard to let him go, Joe and I knew that he was ready for school, and we knew he'd love it!
When he got home he said he had a great day and can't wait to go back tomorrow.
Here's a short little video of Alex when he got home from school. It was such a relief to see how happy he was was!!
Two side notes:
1. The feathers he has in his hands are from the wild turkeys that were running around outside his school... yes, we live in Minneapolis. That was a nice distraction as we got to school.
2. In case you can't tell he says his favorite thing was Musica!
