The week in food...

We ate good this week! On Monday night, after Alex left to spend a couple of days with his grandparents in Ramsey, Joe and I went for a little late night (well, late for us... we got to the restaurant at 9:00 pm) appetizer at Cheesecake Factory. They have these fun tapas type apps which they call small plates, so we ordered a few. They were yummy... we had a margharita flat bread, stuffed mushrooms, fried zucchini and bacon wrapped dates. It was really fun!

On Tuesday morning, Bonnie and I stopped at Starbucks for our free pastry! I got a delicious scone, which I think tasted even better because of the price! Bonnie braved the rain and got them for us!!

On Tuesday night, Joe and I went to "The Taste of the Twin Cities Originals". The tickets were my gift to Joe for our anniversary. Basically there's this group of locally owned restaurants that put on this tasting where each restaurant has one or two dishes off their menu and you go through and eat. One of our favorites was the Sunfish Slider from the Lake Elmo Inn, and of course the spare ribs from Rudolph's... there was an awesome wrap and carrot cake from the Eden Avenue Grill and a strawberry shortcake dessert from the Herkimer. Joe and I were so full, and everything was awesome. It was a fun date night to spend together!

Alex didn't want to be left out of the food fun... he had a HUGE corn dog at the Anoka County Fair with Grandma and Grandpa on Wednesday and on Friday Joe made him this fun lunch!
