Some stories to share...

Last week, Alex and Joe were at Target and I was meeting them there after work. So, while they waited, they went to the toy department to look at trains. Alex asked Joe if he could have a train. Joe said he'd have to ask Mommy. So Alex says, "I will say, 'Mommy, can I have a train?' and Mommy will say 'Okay.'" That just cracks me up.

One morning, Joe gave Alex a special apple fritter to have for breakfast.
Alex's response was "This is mighty tasty, Daddy!"

At nighttime, I tell Alex a bedtime story and sing Lullaby to him. The string of stories I have been telling him lately are about a little church mouse named Max. Max has lots of adventures and sometimes gets himself into a little bit of trouble, but everything always works out just fine. Tonight's story was about Max having a cold and being sick (sometimes the stories are about things that are also happening to Alex at the time!) When I was finished with the story, Alex says to me "Good story, Mom!" Maybe I'll have to write these stories down someday!

When I got home from work today, Alex and I were cuddling and coloring and I told Alex, "I missed you today while I was at work. Do you know that I love you so much?" Alex replies, "I love you more, Mommy." Melt my heart away.
