Quite contrary....

Once the garden box was built, it was time to get some veggies planted!  Over Memorial Day weekend, we went to a great nursery in South Minneapolis to get seeds and plants.   This place had tons of heirloom varieties and many of them were also organic!  It was really fun choosing the plants for our garden!  We bought pepper and tomato plants, and got seeds for beans, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, and micro greens!

We spent the next few hours mixing soil and compost and getting those seeds and plants into containers.  In order to expand our garden a bit more, we got several other containers to plant in as well.

The plants have been doing great and it's really fun to see them grow!  I really like being able to help out with the garden and have enjoyed watering the garden when I get home from work!  It's very relaxing.  I didn't think that I'd ever really be able to garden again, and I can't even explain how it feels to actually get a chance to do it.  I love it!  I'm so grateful to Joe that he got this box built for us, and I'm super excited for fresh veggies soon!!!
