The last month has been quite the roller-coaster, it seems as if there have been many ups and downs. Here is a list that outlines a bit of what our life has been like lately...
- I lost the diamond from my wedding (engagement) ring. I'm quite certain it's lost forever. It makes me sad, because I loved my ring, but it has also reminded me that things are just things.
- Joe took me to see the play "Wicked" downtown Minneapolis. He surprised me with tickets for our anniversary! It was such a great show and we had a wonderful date night together!
- Joe had surgery to remove a huge kidney stone. Enough said.
- My mom had the flexibility to come and stay with us while Joe was in the hospital! We kept her busy (we are not low maintenance people!), but it was so wonderful to know everything would be taken care of while Joe was gone.
- Joe's recovery has been slow at best. He had another surgery last week (if you're counting, that's the third one in two weeks) to take out a couple more stones.
- We had maybe the best ever meeting at school about the start to Alex's year. Let's just say, it seems as if 2nd grade is really agreeing with him!
- The doctor's have found a way to control Joe's reaction to general anesthesia, with very little nausea (in the past he has been violently ill after surgery)! This has been a huge answer to prayer!!
- Alex had a great soccer season, which just wrapped up on Saturday! We were so thrilled because he scored a goal this year!
- Oh, and we found a tenant for our rental property! Woo hoo!
Things are looking up!!!
