Well, we didn't actually travel to Brazil, but we did go the Flower Show at Macy's Eighth Floor called "Brasil"! Going to the Flower Show is a family tradition and we kicked off Alex's Spring Break at school by taking a little trip downtown to enjoy the tropical paradise! We all had a great time, and Alex enjoyed reading all of the plant names and finding the little turtles and geckos hidden throughout.
One of Alex's favorite flowers at the show was called "Bird of Paradise"! It really does look like a bird!
I loved to see all of the cala lilies at the show as well! Cala lilies were one of the flowers that Joe and I had in our wedding and I think they are just beautiful!
Even though we've had such a mild winter, and in years past we have trudged through snow to spend 30 minutes in the promise of Spring, we still enjoyed all of the beautiful flowers and our time together!
