In the first couple of years that Joe and I were married, we would often get in our car and pick a road and drive. We had no agenda, just spending time together and going to see what we could see. We would find fun shops or antique shops and find interesting landmarks and restaurants. So, we decided on Sunday it was time to take another drive. We started off on Hwy 13 on an adventure. We stopped in a couple of towns, like New Prague. Alex kept singing in the backseat "going on a 'venture".
Our travels eventually lead us to Mankato, where we ate some lunch and gave ourselves the scenic tour. :) We stopped at the mall for a bit, and Alex got to ride the carousal. He LOVED it and talked about riding on the bunny the rest of the day.
It made Alex very happy to drive his red car around too.
After touring around Makato we decided to head back up 169. Saw the Jolly Green Giant and listened to Wee Sing Silly songs. We had to enjoy some of this beautiful weather, so we stopped at a park in Belle Plaine. Alex climbed up the stairs and went down the slide about 50 times!
The boys humored me as I took a few pictures... this one might be my new very favorite! How stinkin' cute are they?!?!?!
We had such a nice day going on a 'venture... it was great to spend time our family and just enjoy each other's company.
