Birthday musings...

Grieving is such a hard thing... it doesn't happen when you want it to or when it is convienent, it just happens. So, in the midst of Paul being in the hospital, it was Alex's 1st birthday. We were happy to celebrate Alex's first year, but also were deeply saddened by our friends sorrow. We did have a nice day, though, July 15th, our little boy's first birthday.

Alex opened all his presents almost all by himself. Ripping paper is fun!

First Gramma and Grandpa Chapman visited for lunch... then we had cupcakes....

Yum!

Then Grandma and Grandpa Kuklok and Uncle Tim came over for more presents and cake and ice cream... so good!

Bath time is necessary on your first birthday!
