Over the weekend we braved the cold and snow and went downtown for the Twin Cities Pet Expo!! We were excited to go and check out all of the pets! Our dog, Jilly, wanted to come with and visit the other pups... but, we decided that she would go crazy with the cats!!
I was expecting that it would mostly be cat and dog rescues and products, but there were a wide variety of pets to see....
Snakes (don't look Sara Lundquist!!)
Bunnies (Jilly would have gone nuts over these guys!)
Birds! (Alex LOVES birds, so he was pretty excited about this part! He even got a to hold a few birds, which he says was the highlight of the Pet Expo!)
And of course lots of doggies! Alex was so great about first asking all of the pet handlers if it was okay to pet the dogs. It was fun to see all of the different breeds of dogs and find out about the organizations working to rescue pups from bad situations. Alex really wants to help end homelessness for dogs... so we're considering some ways that we can be involved!
We also watched an agility demonstration, some frisbee catching dogs, and some dogs jumping off a dock into a pool of water! This was a very fun event for our family and we are so glad we were able to get out of the house and enjoy some time together!
