I can't believe it's already the middle of June. Where did May go? Our family had a lot of fun in May and since I didn't post much about it, I thought I'd rewind the clock just a tiny bit and give you some of the highlights!
Mother's Day was in May! We got to spend some time with my mom bbq-ing at the Coyer's the night before! Mark shot this cute picture of us enjoying a beautiful evening outside!
On Mother's Day itself we headed to Salem Covenant in the morning for Tad's dedication service. We were so glad to be there witnessing his mommy and daddy's love for the Lord and for sweet Tad.
I had a nice
day too, waking up to a nice breakfast, coffee, and lovely flowers.
After church, Alex made my day by watching the Twins game with me and
talking baseball. We wrapped up by heading to the softball fields to watch Tim and Grandpa's Steve's softball game. I couldn't have been happier!
Alex's school carnival was also in May, which raises money for the school! We had a ton of fun and Joe and I both enjoyed volunteering for the event too. It was great for Alex to see so many of his friends and classmates! Grandpa Steve and Grandma Chris came to hang out with us too, and took Alex all around to the games and activities while Joe and I were helping out. It was a great, well-run event and it was fun to be a part of such a positive school community. Just another reason why we love Windom!!
Over Memorial Day we enjoyed a nice weekend at home, hanging out together and getting some needed spring cleaning done around the house. We did get a chance to use our zoo membership too, and checked out the new dinosaurs exhibit, which was a big hit with Alex!! The weather over the weekend wasn't that great, but I think that we got the absolute best three hours of weather while we were at the zoo... it was fantastic!
