Lean on me!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Joe and me!  It was taken at our friends Mindy and Erik's wedding just a couple months after Alex was born.  I have been thinking, lately, about how God has created us to be in this life together.  I mean that both in a broad sense, but also in a personal sense.  I know that God created Joe and I to be in this life together.  Through the good times and the bad times.  I have been amazed at the strength that Joe has shown in circumstances that I have felt very weak.  I know it is a little cliche to say "he's my rock", but that phrase has held a lot of meaning to me lately.  It's not like we are facing a serious crisis or anything, we're just dealing with relatively normal "stuff".  But, I have felt like I have been leaning hard on Joe to pull us through.  What would I do without him?  I hope that there are times when I ground him too, and that I stand strong for him when he needs me.  I'm just glad that we are in this life together.
