Man, I love this kid!
As I watch my sister with her new son, I am so proud of how naturally and swiftly she has become a mom. There is something that changes within the nature of your being once you become responsible for the well-being of a life other than your own. Alex has started calling me "mommy" again lately, and for some reason it just melts my heart. Not that Mom or Mama, his two previously preferred titles for me, aren't sweet, but Mommy is such a term of endearment. I love it. I'm so happy to be Alex's mommy!
