Weird Weather...

We only had 19 official days of fall before our first official snow. Most of the leaves haven't even turned color or fallen from the tree yet. Well, I guess that's what we get for living in Minnesota, unpredictable weather! Alex loved it and got all dressed up for the occasion and was out playing in the white stuff by 7:30 this morning.

We had made plans to go to the apple orchard before we knew about the snow. By mid morning the snow had melted, but it was still pretty cold outside. We decided to brave the elements and head to the orchard anyway. This is the third year we have gone apple picking with Bonnie and Tim (well, Tim had to work this year)... and each year we have chosen a different orchard to try. This year we went to Afton Orchards in Hastings, and it was great! We had a blast. They had tons of apple trees and varieties that we could walk up and pick. We would definitely go back!

They also had a huge, awesome, pumpkin patch. Alex loves pumpkins (just like his Aunt Bonnie!)

Bon and I walked back to the main building (where we were in desperate need of some hot cider) while Alex and Joe took a hayride back!

We came home, thawed out and Alex showed off some of our souvenirs ! What a great day! Although, I wouldn't mind sending the snow and cold away for another month or two!
