Happy Mommy Day!

I'm so thankful to have this little boy call me Mommy (or Mama as of late!) What a joy it is to be his mother.

We were able to make a quick trip this weekend to South Dakota for Mother's Day. We had a great time with mom and Mark. They took us to see animals at nearby farms, Alex loved that! He got to see lots of cows and sheep and chickens! While we were there, Grandpa Mark (a volunteer fire fighter) got called on a fire call. It was all very exciting! I also beat my mom at Scrabble for maybe the first time ever. It's a pretty big accomplishment!

What a joy it is to be a mom. I'm thankful for my mom and that we got to see her this weekend. Joe and I wish that his mom could have met Alex, she would have just loved him, we miss her. I'm thankful for my step-mom Chris too. Happy Mother's Day to you all.
